Why?
As most of you know I’ve been pursuing citizenship in European Union Country X.
I sent all my documentation off to the State of California to receive something called an apostille. An apostille is a certification by California (or any other state) to EU Country X that the documents I have(had) are authentic and can be used for the purpose for which they were obtained.
Unfortunately, it looks like the postal service LOST all my documents. I blame both them and the Secretary of State office in the State of California. Who the F charges $120.00 for a service like this and then mails it back to you *without* a tracking number? F*cking fantastic! I’m out $300 now, which means I’ll probably have to spend another $300 to fix this mistake that I didn’t create. Not to mention that my primary identification documents are now floating around in the ether. Can you say ID theft?
California says they processed it all and mailed it out on October 31st. It doesn’t take 11 business days for something to get from there to Conservative Hell.
This marks the third time this year the post office has screwed with me. First they lost my car insurance payment, then they wouldn’t take my credit card because it wasn’t signed on the back, and now this. It’s like they are on a mission to make my life difficult or something. I’m just trying to figure out how they can seemingly deliver all the crap and junk I don’t want but can’t get important stuff delivered. These idiots deserve to die in a fire.

OMG those postal workers are such idiots! My mom keeps getting flooded with catalogs. They should go to a woman who lives about a mile from here. She has the same box number but a different route number. I take them back to the P.O. and they return them to my Mom. Why you may well ask? It says on the front of each and every f*ckin’ catalog: OR CURRENT RESIDENT! The postal matron informed me that if it did not say this they would not deliver them to the wrong address. I explain for the 23rd time that My mother and father have lived in the same house for over 50 years. It is the morons at the postal service that keep changeing the addresses.
I know this isn’t as important as the f*ckup they pulled on you. I hope you get it all worked out while you are still young enough to travel. Good Luck.

Well it did get better. I still have not picked up my mail for Friday and Saturday as I was out of town and my neighbors graciously picked it up for me because I didn’t want these documents sitting out on the street. Hopefully they came over the weekend! *fingers crossed*

What’s with the USPS, UPS and FedEx lately??? Seems like everyone has horror stories these days.

I’m sorry to hear getting your Apostille was such a disaster.
I’m a notary that offers Apostille services but I walk everything in to minimize the risk of these important documents being lost in the mail.
